The Intelligent Mechatronics and RFID (IMaR) Technology Gateway at IT Tralee will hold an Open Day on Tuesday 26th April from 9.00am to 1.00pm at the Sólás Building, IT Tralee, North Campus. The Open Day is open to all businesses from start-up to SME’s who are interested in developing an innovative product or service.
IMaR is part of the Technology Gateway Network supported by Enterprise Ireland. The network based at the Institutes of Technology, is a nationwide resource for industry delivering solutions on near to market problems for industrial partners.
IMaR acts as the ‘Research & Development arm’ of companies to deliver solutions to regional and national industry using technologies including Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Sensors, Mechatronics and Industrial Automation. With a team of 15 highly skilled senior engineers, postdoctorate and postgraduate research scientists and engineers, IMaR delivers real results for companies by tailoring custom solutions to increase productivity and cost efficiency across a broad range of industries.
According to IMaR Gateway Manager Dr. Daniel Riordan, the Open Day will introduce the technology offerings available within IMaR and the supports IMaR can provide to companies. “The Open Day is an ideal day to discover more about what IMaR has to offer companies in Kerry and beyond. The IMaR team will be available to meet and discuss any ideas companies may have and advise on funding supports available. Sample project displays will be set up on the day to demonstrate capabilities within IMaR. Presentations by industry clients will give the audience an opportunity to meet the companies who have successfully worked with IMaR in the past.
